An introduction to Ballet & Tap in a 45 minute class in order to acquaint younger children to follow direction, learn basic choreography, and basic social skills

Acro Jazz
Various tumbling tricks are the spotlight in a jazz dance. The class focuses on the tumbling aspect and it is suggested that a dance class is taken in addition to this class. Includes learning somersaults, backbends, cartwheels, handstands and more.

Ballet
A classical ballet class that teaches the formalized actions of a dancer that follow specific rules regarding the positions of the arms, feet, and body. Choreography is based on combinations of these fundamental movements.
The ages 8+ class is considered lyrical, a style of dance created from the fusion of jazz and classical ballet dance techniques.

Tap
A form of rhythmic dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.

Jazz
A technical form of an ever-changing popular dance style done to pop music. Dancers stretch and strengthen, and also work on turns, leaps and dance technique.

Hip-Hop
A less technical and high-energy style of dance that is done wearing sneakers. It is a “street” style of dance often seen in music videos.

Musical Theater
It is a fusion of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and usually contains an emotional journey, or story. Musical Theatre is a theatrical dance style that includes dance technique and acting to songs from broadway and musicals.

Conditioning
Dance conditioning is a practice that focuses on strengthening, toning, and stretching different parts of the body. The goal of dance conditioning is to provide a regimen of exercises for the development of a dancers physical endurance, strength, flexibility, and coordination.
